Ida is more than just a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®); she's the heart and soul behind Glowing Growth Autism Services Inc. Her journey is fueled by an unwavering passion for children's education and development, a commitment to empowering families, and an unshakeable belief in the transformative power of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Ida's Credentials and Dedication

Ida holds a Master's degree in Applied Disabilities Studies (M.ADS) with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Brock University, along with an Honors B.A. in Contemporary Studies with a focus on Children's Education and Development, a minor in Health Studies and Psychology, from Wilfrid Laurier University, providing her with a robust academic foundation.

However, her desires for knowledge doesn't end there. Ida is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Psychology, with a specialization in ABA, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of the field. Ida also actively contributes to the field, proudly holding memberships in the Ontario Association of Behavior Analysis, Inc (ONTABA) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). Her dedication to supporting families through Applied Behavior Analysis is evident in her extensive involvement.

Continuing Education

Ida's relentless quest for knowledge drives her to attend international and local workshops and training sessions held by renowned organizations, ensuring she remains on the cutting edge of her field. Her extensive training includes certifications in Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge (PEAK), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), and Relational Frame Theory (RFT).

Leading by our Clinical and Program Director, our Clinical Support and Development Team is comprised of dedicated supervisors and lead therapists. This trained team focuses on four pillars of support: therapist guidance, family engagement, learner development, and organizational management. They work together to ensure that each therapist is equipped with the tools and knowledge needed for effective interventions, that families feel understood and supported, that every learner receives individualized care tailored to their unique needs, and that our organization continues to grow and evolve to support our community . Vivian Tam, M.S., BCBA., R.B.A (ONT) 
Program Director/OAP Clinical Supervisor

Vivian is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) and the Program Supervisor at Glowing Growth Autism Services Inc. Vivian completed her Master's degree in Science, with specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) at St. Cloud State University. She also holds a B.S in Psychology specializing in Behaviour Disorders at the University of Toronto. Vivian is a member of the Ontario Association of Behavior Analysis, Inc (ONTABA), the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). She is well-versed in providing high-quality, individualized treatment and has been involved in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis for the past 13 years.

 

Vivian has worked as an ABA school teacher and behaviour therapist delivering Intensive Behaviour Therapy (IBI), with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders ranging from 1.5 years old to 25 years of all abilities. Her expertise includes IBI program planning, oversee home-based programs, and, behaviour plans. Her wide-ranging skills further continue with developmental assessments (eg. ABLLS-R, AFLS-R PEAK, VB-MAPP), Direct Instruction, Precision teaching curriculums and designing training protocols for staffs and parents.

Vivian's passion for ABA comes not only from her strong clinical background but also the pleasure of witnessing how interventions can make a difference in one's life. With her dedication and love for the children, she works diligently with other interdisciplinary professionals to provide the most comprehensive and client- centred treatments. It is her hope to combine her passion for teaching ABA and prepare families with effective tools for lasting behaviour change.

Marina Fahmy, M.Sc., BCBA., R.B.A (ONT.)

Marina is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with a deep-rooted passion for helping children with autism and other developmental disabilities. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Psychology. This interdisciplinary background provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the brain and behaviour, laying the foundation for her future work in applied behaviour analysis (ABA). Driven by her desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with special needs, Marina pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). During her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings, including schools, clinics, and homes. After completing her master's degree, Marina became a board-certified behaviour analyst and continued her career in the field of ABA therapy. Over the past four years, she has dedicated herself to providing evidence-based interventions and support to children and their families. Her expertise in behaviour analysis, combined with her compassionate and patient approach, has helped numerous children make significant progress in their social, communication, and adaptive skills. Marina’s dedication to improving the lives of children with autism and other developmental disabilities is truly inspiring. Her commitment to evidence-based practices, ongoing professional development, and advocacy work makes her a valuable asset to the field of behavior analysis and a beacon of hope for families in need.

Assistant Program Supervisor 

Elena Okbay, Hons B.A.
 

Elena is a graduate from York University where she completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She went on and obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences from George Brown College (that met the requirement of BCaBA course sequence approved by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board - BACB), which focused on autism spectrum disorder and ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) with a primary application for children and adolescents. Elena is s a Registered Behaviour Technician (approved by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board - BACB) and is supervised under a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. ​ Elena has a passion for working with children and supporting them to be as functional and independent as possible recognizing and serving their individual needs. She has worked as an instructor therapist with children and youth of different disabilities in various settings for more than three years. She takes pleasure in watching her clients grow, reduce challenging behaviours and learn new meaningful skills. She has years of experience in implementing programs including direct instruction, classroom readiness, social skills, life skills, and PECS. She plans to pursue her BCaBA certification in the future.

Adrienne Mak, Hons B.A.
 

Adrienne is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. She has a passion for caring for children and recognizes the impact that childhood has on a person's future. She has created close relationships with children and young families at her church and hopes to continue building relationships and mentoring these children as they enter new chapters of life. During high school and university, she spent time volunteering at various children's summer camps and student events. She is driven by her passion to care for others and to create a welcoming and caring environment wherever she is. Adrienne is currently working with GGAS SLP consultant and hopes to further her education in Speech Language Pathology.

Gubetha Gunarajah, Hons. B.Sc

Gubetha (Gigi) is a passionate individual who loves to help in the community and serve others. Gubetha holds an Undergraduate Degree of Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto, majoring in Mental Health Studies and minoring in both French and International Development Studies. She has also received a Global Scholar Certificate from the University. She then completed her post graduate program at George Brown College in Behavioural Technician. She has completed her Canadian Red Cross First Aid CPR/AED Standard C Certification as well. From the age of 16 she had started working at numerous organizations, camps and schools working with both children and adults with varied abilities helping them acquire basic life skills, academic skills, and fostering confidence and independence for their futures. She believes in practicing the importance of both good mental health and physical wellbeing through different art forms and sports. She also is keen on providing safe learning spaces for all.

Sivan Shayo, M. Sc., BCBA., R.B.A (ONT.)

​Sivan Shayo is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and diverse needs. Sivan's educational journey began at The University of Western Ontario, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, laying the foundation for her deep understanding of human behavior. Committed to advancing her knowledge, she pursued a post-graduate diploma in Autism and Behavioral Sciences at George Brown College, solidifying her expertise in addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals with ASD. Driven by her passion for the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a commitment to making a meaningful impact, Sivan further honed her skills by completing a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. This advanced degree equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of ABA principles.  Sivan's dedication to promoting positive behavior change is evident in her commitment to designing and implementing individualized behavior analytic interventions. Her proficiency in creating tailored solutions underscores her goal of enhancing the quality of life for her clients and their families. Sivan collaborates effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Assistant Program Supervisor 

Nicole Bondoc, M.Ed.
 

Nicole completed her M.Ed in Special Education in ABA from Augustana University in 2023. She also holds a B.A in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She has worked in several educational settings including daycares, immigrant welcome centres, City of Markham summer camps, Royal Conservatory of Music classes and the Holland-Bloorview nursery school, with children with a wide range of abilities as well as their families. Nicole has a passion for working with children and helping them further develop skills in self-advocacy, self-expression and self-efficacy to increase their autonomy and support their development. She is deeply motivated to continue learning in the field of ABA and keeping up with current research as she works toward obtaining a BCBA certification. Her commitment to providing quality service for our clients in order to meet their individual needs is evident through her efforts at Glowing Growth. Nicole is a member of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA) and holds certifications in Pivotal Response Training (PRT-L1), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and CPR/Standard First Aid-Level C. She has an active interest in music, mental health, inclusion and American Sign Language which are all incorporated into her practice.

Lead Instructor Therapist

Arogena Kavithakaran, Hons. B.Sc

Arogena is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Honours Bachelor of Science; majoring in psychology. She is also a dean’s list graduate from George Brown College where she completed her post-graduate certificate in Autism Behavioural Sciences. In the South Asian community, mental health and developmental disabilities are seen as taboo, so acknowledging these issues and receiving support is often discouraged. Arogena hopes to tackle the lack of awareness surrounding autism, mental health, and other disabilities, due to the cultural barriers and beliefs present in these communities. She has worked with other Autism/special needs centres, and tutored children with learning disabilities throughout high school and university. Arogena is passionate about promoting an inclusive community where everyone is accepted for who they are. A community where a disability is not the first thing one sees in a person, but their skills, talents, and achievements; big or small. Arogena is currently working towards becoming a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst(BCaBa), and plans to further her career in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Kelly Lam, B.A.
 

Kelly completed her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies Education. She has 4 years of experience working with children. Kelly is also a Registered Behavior Technician (approved by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board - BACB) and is supervised under a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She has obtained her FirstAid CPR/AED Standard C Certification. Kelly is interested in special education, she has volunteered with children with special needs and interned in schools in the past. She is passionate about working with children and believes that every child is unique.

Lily O'Donnell, M.PEd

Lily is a dedicated professional with a strong educational background and practical experience in the field of education and behavioural sciences. She holds a Master’s degree in Professional Education with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from Western University, complemented a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Society, where she explored health disparities and disability studies. Additionally, Lily has earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences from George Brown College. Lily’s commitment to continuous learning is driven by her dedication to delivering exceptional, high-quality care to individuals. With three years of experience as an Instructor Therapist, Lily has expertly cultivated her ability to nurture confidence and independence in children with autism and other disabilities. Her proficiency includes working with early learners through the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and contributing to Project ImPACT, where she has provided invaluable parent coaching. Lily is passionate about motivating children through building strong, positive relationships and teaching in natural environments. As a board-certified Dietitian from Manila, Philippines, she deeply understands the vital role nutrition plays in overall well-being. She obtained a diploma in Behavioral Sciences from Seneca College in Canada, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in understanding human behavior. This qualification equips her with the ability to develop tailored interventions and strategies that promote growth and development for individuals. Growing up, she always had a strong desire to contribute her skills to making the community a better place. As an Instructor Therapist, she channels this passion into creating a positive impact in the lives of children and their families. Winnie completed her undergraduate degrees in Psychology in Hong Kong. Her journey began during her undergraduate years, where she interned in a non-governmental organization, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and deepening her understanding of the challenges and joys that come with supporting individuals on the spectrum. Following graduation, she continued her work with the same organization, focusing on projects aimed at evaluating and enhancing the resilience of children. Over the years, Winnie has accumulated experiences working with children with developmental disabilities, fueling her passion for making a positive impact in their lives. Seeking to deepen her understanding and broaden her skill set, she pursued a Behavioral Science Program at Seneca College, further enriching her knowledge in the field. With a keen interest in special education, Winnie is driven by her unwavering commitment to supporting individuals with special needs.

Karen Bouthaveth, Hon.s B.A.

Karen is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree majoring in psychology. She has several years of experience working with individuals of various physical and mental abilities as well as experience working with children in school, daycare and summer camp settings. Karen is certified in First Aid and CPR level C with St. John Ambulance. Karen is committed to working with individuals with varying abilities and passionate about helping others to support their development and meet their individual needs. Man Ho Chan, B.A.

Man Ho is a graduate from the Autism and Behavioural Science Program at Durham College. He has earned his honor bachelor degree in Counseling and Psychology in Hong Kong. Besides, Man Ho was also a registered social worker in Hong Kong. Through that, he has earned experiences at the school board, youth outreaching team, elderly home, and elderly district center in providing counseling service. He has also organized and conducted different programs according to distinct target groups. Man Ho is passionate to bring his care, genuineness and profession to the children and maximize their potential in acquiring skills across various areas that accommodate in their daily life.

Cecilia Liu, M.Ed.

Cecilia is a dedicated and passionate educator with extensive experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays. She holds both a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology and a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Cecilia has over three years of experience working with children in classroom settings, where she developed her skills in fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments. Additionally, she has gained valuable experience as a student intern at a special education school, working closely with children facing challenging behaviours and developmental delays. This role allowed her to apply and refine her skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), implementing evidence-based techniques to support children's growth and development, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement personalized programs. Cecilia has worked with a wide range of age groups, from toddlers to school-aged children, enhancing her ability to adapt teaching strategies to various developmental stages. She is committed to making a meaningful impact within the autism community and is enthusiastic about supporting families and children with autism through her dedication and expertise.

Won Kim, , Hons. B.Sc., Master's Degree In Progress

Won graduated from York University with an Honours degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Won is completing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University and he is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Won has previously worked in non-profit organizations, private clinics, and research centres to provide physical and mental health services to a wide range of age groups. Won is dedicated to creating a non-judgmental, caring, and safe environment to help individual children develop their independence and skills that will suit their needs. Won is also committed to providing a holistic approach to care by working closely with families, communities, and other services to best support each child.

Alexandra Scaffidi, B.A.

Alex is a graduate of Seneca College’s Social Service Work program where she specialized in Mental Health & Addictions. She is currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Health at Wilfrid Laurier University, then she will be continuing on to the Autism and Behavioural Science program at Conestoga College. She is also currently working toward her Registered Behaviour Technician certification. She has over 13 years of experience working with children, youth and adults on the Autism spectrum in multiple settings. She began as a gymnastics coach for six years. She then completed a 750-hour placement with the York Region District School Board. She has case management experience with teens and young adults with dual diagnosis (developmental Disabilities, emotional, psychiatric and behavioural difficulties) in a group home setting, as well as experience in day programs that focus on life skills for children, youth, and adults on the Autism spectrum. She has completed dozens of trainings, including certifications through Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies for Trauma Informed Care, and Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education Training. She has also completed training through Cornell University’s CARE Project for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) Training. Alex is certified in First Aid CPR C + AED, as well as Canadian Red Cross’s Psychological First Aid, and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (NVCPI) training.

Aurora Cabling, B.A.

Aurora is committed in improving the quality of life of children and is an advocate of mental health and wellness. She is a graduate of Behavioural Sciences Graduate Diploma program at Seneca College in Canada and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her experience with youth behavioural health practice started with her role as a Center Psychologist in the Philippines. She also had the pleasure of serving the community as an experienced Mental Health Crisis Responder during the pandemic. Aurora worked as a Instructor Therapist with various autism centre's within the Greater Toronto Area where she specialized in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Intensive Behavioural Intervention (ABA/IBI) and helped children improve their well-being. Her passion lies in nurturing, harnessing and developing children's full potential with their functional, social and everyday life skills while promoting positive impact in engaging in a fun and generalized social environment. She has received a certificate of completion with Canadian Red Cross First Aid CPR/AED Class C and with Ontario Food Handler certificate course. She has completed her RBT training and is progressing toward achieving Registered Behavioural Technician certification. Additionally, she completed continuing education training for Pivotal Response Training and Evidence-Based Practice from the National Professional Development Center (NPDC) on Autism or AFIRM.

Hazel Ideal, B.A.
 

Hazel has completed her undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and is finishing her Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science at Durham College. Hazel is a certified First Aid & CPR/AED and is working on becoming a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT). She exhibits dedication and passion in her pursuits, driven by a strong aspiration to guide and support individuals reach their goals and fullest potential. For nearly three years, Hazel has been providing support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder as a Respite Care Worker. She also has previous experiences of working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours in school settings during her time as a student intern. With a diverse range of experiences working with various age groups across different professional settings, Hazel is committed to creating an inclusive and positive environment for all individuals.

Geraldine Bautista, B.A.

Geraldine pursued a diploma in Behavioral Science at Seneca College. Before moving to Canada, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned her Psychometrician license in the Philippines. During her academic journey, she gained valuable experience working with diverse groups, deepening her understanding of human behavior and psychological assessment. She is also certified in First Aid and CPR/AED Level C, showing her commitment to helping others in any situation. She believes that helping a child improve their quality of life is an achievement to be truly proud of. Mental Health Support Team

The Mental Health Support Team at Glowing Growth Autism Services Inc. aims to integrate mental health perspectives within our ABA framework, ensuring comprehensive care for our learners. This team is composed of therapists who have received specialized training in mental health interventions, equipping them to support learners with diverse mental health needs. By combining mental health support with ABA therapy, we strive to enhance the overall quality of care.
